Edward finished drying off, and tossed the towel on the floor. Padding naked across his childhood room, he snickered as he stared at the Star Wars poster with its prominent picture of Luke and Leia. He remembered the first time he found himself fantasizing about the defined chest and arms exposed by the way Luke clutched the light saber, as opposed to the leg Leia was showing through the slit of her dress.

It’s hard to breathe, piled in Emmett’s mom’s van the way we are. Nine guys in a car meant to hold eight, heading to the beach for the long weekend.

Of course, that’s not why I’m having trouble breathing.

No, that’s entirely because of the guy sprawled beside me, his knees spread, claiming his space despite the cramped quarters.

He’s not being rude. That’s just… him.

His thigh presses against mine as he laughs, joining in as everyone rehashes stories of all our stupid escapades over the years.

His elbow nudges me, and he leans a little closer. “You okay?”

Draco rolled his eyes and watched as the strange Muggles in the strange clothes walked past their tent, some peering in with keen expressions of interest at the objects on display.

“Look at their clothes,” Draco whispered in disgust, waving his one hand about. “They’re dressed like Wizards but the fabrics...” he reached down and rubbed his fingers through a trailing scarf off a little girl’s pointed hat—who was looking at a bracelet laid out on the table before her, “. . . synthetic.” He sat up with horror in his eyes. “Mum, they’re synthetic!”

Because I have never been able to say no to the boy who stole my heart when his blue eyes met mine over a Bunsen burner in Freshman Biology.
It’s cloudy, misty, and windy which, according to Jasper, is the perfect weather for this adventure.
I sit on the blanket, huddled in my jacket watching him indifferently until he looks at me.

When Emmett suggested that Edward and Jasper join him for a weekend of 'camping with the guys' for spring break, Edward was a little suspicious. Emmett was a good friend, and they had a surprising number of common interests, but anyone who knew anything about Edward knew that camping just wasn't his thing. He tried to decline politely, saying he just wanted to spend the a quiet week with Jasper, without having to worry about exams and roommates and all of the other things that got in the way of them spending time together at school.
